This is my first build with a canister inside the fuselage
Just starting to put together have built header and installed in fuselage waiting for fiber glass tunnel to arrive from Germany to insulate fuselage from getting to hot. shooting for 22 pounds RTF, ZDZ-80 is a blue head looks sharp also looks like it has a new carb. Want to keep as light as possible.
.To build this header I called Desert Aircraft and bought the Header flange for the ZDZ -80, three 90* pipes and a short lenght of straight pipe 28 mm dia., 1 coupling 28mm to 30mm and 2 clamps 1x 28mm 1x 30mm, the two sizes are needed because the inlet of the KS canister is 30mm. One lenght of brazing rod, if you haven't silver solder or brazed stainless tubing then buy one extra piece of tubing to practise with.

.For building the header this is the torch I used approx. $40.00 at home Depot
The header and canister with coupling after trail fit..
My first atempt it came up short the pipe would have to stick out of the cowl near the front of the cowl..
The last fitting it fits inside cowl without cut outs for header pipe much better. You can see final layout in these two pictures.
